The feeling of loss can be experienced in many different situations. We may traditionally think of loss in the sense of grief when we experience the death of a loved one. Other types of loss can include:
- loss of a job
- loss of relationship
- loss of a sense such as sight or hearing
- loss of independence
- loss of mobility
- loss of hope
- loss of the future we had imagined
